Cookie Policy
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser; "browser storage" (such as localStorage) works in a similar way. This policy lists everything CledgeDesk stores on your device and why.
Cookies
| Name | What it does | Type | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
cledgedesk_session | Keeps you signed in. | Strictly necessary | Until you sign out, or 10 minutes without activity |
XSRF-TOKEN | Protects every request against cross-site request forgery. | Strictly necessary (security) | Same as the session |
cd_trusted_device | Remembers that this browser passed two-step verification, so you are asked again only after 14 days. | Strictly necessary (security) | 14 days |
Browser storage
| Name | What it does | Type | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
theme | Remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme. | Browser storage | Until you change it |
cledge-idle:desk:* | Signs you out after 10 minutes without activity and keeps every open tab in step (the 2-minute warning). | Browser storage | Until you sign out or clear site data |
CledgeDesk can also be installed as an app; it then keeps a copy of its own files (not your records) so it opens quickly.
Content from other providers
Some style sheets, scripts and fonts are loaded from content delivery networks. Like any website you visit, they receive your IP address and browser details, but they set no cookies for us and we do not use them to track you.
Your choices
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the strictly necessary cookies you will not be able to sign in. Clearing them simply signs you out and, for the trusted-browser cookie, means you will be asked for a verification code at your next sign-in. Because we do no tracking, "Do Not Track" and Global Privacy Control signals need no further action from us.
